Pure Basketball was created in the spring of 2010 and was focused on creating a program that provided families the opportunity to participate in club level basketball without all the side bar events that usually accompany club sports. At the time, club basketball had been washed out in my opinion and the talent pool, organizations and overall scene had become cluttered with single team organizations that were looking to make a quick buck by exploiting families with their vision of club basketball. The art of teaching youth players how to play hard, be fundamentally skilled and work together as a team had been dissolved into selfish, street style basketball.
